The design of The Tip captures a play that Seattle Seahawk fans waited 38 long seasons to experience. A single Seahawk defender in the corner of CenturyLink Field’s south end zone dares a dangerous rival to test the Seahawks’ determination. In one courageous balletic leap, he deflects the pass that could have crushed Seattle’s dreams yet one more time, and puts the world on notice that this Seahawks team has what it takes to dominate Super Bowl XLVIII. So pivotal to the destiny of Seattle’s first Super Bowl championship, it has been called the moment the Northwest sports world changed. The Tip, a 12-foot bronze sculpture conceived and funded by Seahawks fans pays tribute to the entire 2013 championship team and the army of 12s who love and support them. A surging wave of energy in the shape of a seahawk and emblazoned with the number 12 serves as a base for the sculpture, propelling the defender upward, enabling him to reach the ball and make the play
